AAA Accreditation Course

Day I

Module 1. Integrating a Realignment phase into Aesthetic Dentistry

The opportunity to deliver to patients an option to unravel crowded dentitions or to close diastemas without fixed braces is demonstrated using Invisalign aligners. Participants are taught how to classify aesthetically compromised patients with the additional option of a realignment phase and a simplified case selection criteria.

Module 2. Alignment 101 (Initial Treatment Phase)

Fundamental to success with Invisalign is accurate impression taking. Careful consideration is given to reinforce the impression process and taking high quality radiographic and photographic records. AAA order forms must be completed and submitted with a view to total integration with the aesthetic outcome required.

Module 3. Alignment 102 (Aligner Delivery)

This module teaches participants what to look for in the movement movies emailed prior to aligner manufacture. The dentist then learns about attachments, IPR (interproximal reduction) and how to deliver the aligners to their patients.

Module 4. Alignment 103 (Monitoring & Trouble Shooting)

Monitoring the alignment stage to ensure that the process is tracking well is an essential part of the skills required by the dentist. A thorough understanding of what can go wrong and how to alleviate it is presented here, along with the options for retention (fixed and removable).

Module 5. Case Presentations

Participants are presented with a series of cases that have been completed which demonstrate what can be achieved when an alignment phase is integrated into aesthetic dentistry. This aids dentists in presenting treatment plans and understanding the likely length of treatment for each patient.

Module 6. Ethical Selling and Marketing

This module concentrates on how to present treatment plans to patients which meet their aesthetic, practical and financial expectations. The 4 “P”s of marketing are examined carefully and the concept of a “loss leader” is considered in relation to Invisalign.
