Dentist takes impression, disinfects, and sends to lab via courier along with order form
Order entered into system with due date, restoration material, etc
Either impression is scanned in lab scanner OR models are fabricated and model is then scanned in lab
CAD/CAM completed in software (eg. 3shape) and then file sent to milling machine for monolithic restorations (eg. fully milled zirconia)
Case is invoiced, packaged and delivered back to dentist
Dentist takes intra-oral scan and sends digitally to SCDL
SCDL downloads case, marks margins & begins coping design in CAD software
Lab then mills OR prints model in-house using CAM software
Lab produces coping and then, once model is manufactured, ceramic is added and stains/glazes applied
