Here is a general illustration of the efficient SCDL-iTero in-house digital workflow:
Dentist preps & scans teeth
On-screen real-time feedback & vocal prompt of scanning procedure
After receiving the file, SCDL will then mark margins & design models using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software is then relied upon to either print or mill the model
Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software is then relied upon to either print or mill the model
The final restoration is fabricated by SCDL either digitally (restoration designed in CAD and then fully milled) or as a hybrid case (coping is milled and crown is built up & finished by hand)
Restoration is sent back to dentist for insertion, with very little chairside adjustment (if any) required
