Since 1983, SCDL has remained committed to being at the forefront of technology, helping you offer patients a plethora of choice – from the highest quality, state of the art materials sourced from around the world to cutting-edge clinical technology in the form of digital impressioning systems.
SCDL utilizes many different porcelain systems and can match almost any shade request. For best results, we recommend the VITA LUMIN shade guide or the VITAPAN 3D MASTER shade guide.
SCDL produces almost every type of ceramic restoration currently available. e.max, Lava, Empress Esthetic and Calypso were the most popular during 2011. Preparations for these restorations are quite technique sensitive and require well defined shoulders, uniform reduction and rounded internal line angles.
Please provide us with information about any special aesthetic requirements or individual characterisation for each case. Neck staining, opacities or translucencies, crack lines, hypocalcifications, fluorosis, occlusal and fissure stains are just some of the special effects we create each day.
We are particularly conscious of producing restorations that allow for optimal periodontal health. Unless otherwise specified, bridges are designed with embrasures that allow for small to medium interproximal brushes to pass through. If you prefer larger embrasures that allow for bigger interproximal brushes to pass through, please specify. Conversely, some patients prefer anterior embrasures to be almost non-existent. Please mark accordingly on your order form.
To minimize chairside time at the insertion appointment please provide us with silicone bite registrations even in the most simple cases. This is especially important if you are using a 'triple tray' impression technique or making multiple crowns in one impression.
One picture is worth a thousand words so please don't hesitate to enclose or email images of specific aesthetic requirements (such as crown shapes, diastemas, characterisation and composite mock ups). Images of wax-ups for more complex cases can be emailed to you for your perusal before the case is completed.
