What to expect?

This program covers the full workflow including case assessment, treatment planning, lab communication, scanning, attachments, IPR, monitoring,troubleshooting, retention, and restorative integration. Participants also gain experience using simulation software and working through real-world case discussions and collaborative problem-solving.

1. The TrioClear® Advantage & Orthodontic Concepts

  • The TrioClear® Aligner system introduction, benefits and ease of implementation of the system for the patient.
  • Assessment of case suitability, understanding case submission and treatment planning for TrioClear®.
  • Overview on issuing, monitoring and troubleshooting techniques for your TrioClear® cases including commonly seen issues.
  • Restorative enhancements and retention concepts overview.

2. Crafting the Perfect Treatment Plan

  • Completing lab sheets effectively: Key details to include for clear communication with the lab.
  • Building a comprehensive treatment plan: Sequencing movements, IPR, and monitoring progress.

3. Prospective Cases

Please supply photos of prospective cases (with your patient’s consent) to discuss options and possible plans during the course.

  • Submit your own real-world cases, dissecting your treatment plans, and anticipating potential roadblocks with YOUR OWN cases.
  • Engage in collaborative problem-solving with your peers to enrich your practical understanding.

  • Simulating tooth movements and optimising aligner stages.

5. Scanning & Impressions: Perfecting Your Records

  • Hands-on practice: Best practices for digital scanning and traditional impressions.
  • Ensuring accurate records for optimal aligner fit and predictable outcomes.

6. Attachment Placement:

  • Understanding the purpose and types of attachments.
  • Hands-on practice: Precise attachment placement techniques.
  • Ensuring durability and proper seating of aligners over attachments.

7. Why and When to Perform IPR:

  • Creating space for alignment and resolving crowding and preventing unwanted tipping.
  • Tools and Techniques: Manual vs. mechanical methods (strips, discs, or burs).
  • Hands-on practice and step-by-step process.

Presenter

Dr Albert Sharp

Dr Albert Sharp received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sydney, graduating with First Class honours and top of the year. He is a partner at Penn Sharp Dental Surgeons in Double Bay, Sydney, where he continues to practice all aspects of general dentistry.

Dr Sharp is the General Manager Clinical at Southern Cross Dental. He often presents courses to enable general dentists to provide the best possible outcome for their patients.

Dr Sharp was one of the first general dentists in Australia to be accredited for treating patients with the Invisalign System and for many years was the primary presenter for the Invisalign Training Course for GP dentists. Dr Sharp is in clinical practice at his surgery in Double Bay, Sydney. He has tried many aligner systems to see what works best with each.
