Digital Dentistry Solutions

We process images from all intraoral scanners on the market as well as any systems producing digital impressions in STL open format.

How it Works

Ordering a restoration couldn’t be simpler. All you need to do is send us the digital impression and our dental lab will produce a digital design using the best CAD software in the market.

Analog impressions can also easily be incorporated into the digital workflow, and all models can be manually veneered.

A Complete Digital Service

You can send digital orders to us for a wide variety of treatments – restorations (all ceramics, full metal and porcelain-fused-to-metal crown and bridges), dentures, occlusal splints and implants.

  • Improved cost and time efficiencies.
  • Vastly improved accuracy.
  • Aesthetics, occlusion and fit all verified before fabrication.
  • Improved in-chair comfort for patients during impression taking.
  • Effective real-time education and feedback tool for dentists about their work.
  • Digital storage of models.

And once we have the digital file, we can store it for future reference.

Our Digital Workflow

The entire workflow of dental restorations can be supported by digital technology. The digital workflow starts with digital impression with an Intraoral Scanner. The dentist can order a restoration from SCD by direct transmission of a digitally produced impression, which is sent electronically.

Analog impressions sent to Southern Cross Dental can be incorporated into the digital workflow. Using impression scanning and CAD/CAM or 3D printing technology, our dental laboratories can then produce a machined jaw model (instead of a manually produced plaster model).

Whether analog or digital transmission of information occurs, the CAD/CAM process in the laboratory allows for post-processing manually for veneering.

Note: Digital files allow the dentist and the laboratory to store information for future reference.
